The origins of the current ZAFFARONI must surely be sought after the first post-war period, when Mario Zaffaroni together with his brothers Carlo and Giovanni started building traditional woodworking machines.
In that year Mario Zaffaroni decided to concentrate all his energies in his family. He first created a family-run company and then the Officina Meccanica Mario Zaffaroni, a company in which his eldest son Aquilino and then his daughter Angela also actively participated.
Driven by the pressing demand for innovative machines in the Brianza district and driven by the creative genius of Aquilino, the year 1972 saw the first sample of the working center fo the "Folding" technology "SMT" series.
This year sees the O.M.Z. participate in its first international trade fair event. The INTERBIMALL fair in Milan. This event will also be the first opportunity to export a machine abroad. Specifically in Venezuela.

In this year and for the years to come the corporate structure in which Mario Zaffaroni and his sons Aquilino and Angela appears more consolidated. Among the liveliest employees there are Andrea, Aldo and Alessia, sons of Aquilino himself.

The new millennium marks another important step in the evolution of the company. In this year the commercial team is exhibiting in Atlanta (United States of America) at the international IWF event.
In the summer of the year 2001, in occasion with an important foreign commit it was decided to extend the existing building. Another 400 square meters were added to the assembly department.

In order to satisfy the ever more demanding needs of grooving the prefinished elements of the production of wooden floors, in 2004 the first example of a multi-blade panel saw for panels with 2500mm capacity was born.
Starting in November 2005, thanks to the experience gained with some important partners in the industrial automation sector, the company begins to offer integrated systems and solutions, automations and loaders for its multi-blade panel saws.
In November 2006 an update takes place in the company structure. Aldo and Andrea Zaffaroni become administrators and owners of the business that changes dress in a capital company.
In 2010 the first multi-blade with 7 moving heads was built. The application opens new and unprecedented scenarios for the company market.
As required by tradition, innovation is at home at ZAFFARONI. In 2011 the first prototype of a double-shaft multi-blade panel saw "MSR" was built. A special feature is the introduction of removable tool holder shafts. This specimen was intended for an important customer from China.
In 2012, ZAFFARONI, as a supplier of machines and technologies for converting plastic sheets, became an ASSOCOMAPLAST member. The association belonging to FEDERMACCHINE will soon change its name to AMAPLAST.
From the multiple possibilities born with the introduction of the "MSR" series, the "TR" variant is born. This multi-blade panel saw foresees the presence of an innovative workpiece transport system which can be a roller shutter or chains with pushing dogs.
For the first time, the company approaches the cross cutting technology. It does so with the introduction of this innovative multi-head machine capable of achieving production performance never thought before.
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the creation of the first "MLS" series panel saw, Mr. Aquilino Zaffaroni is missing. Author and creator of the product segment still pursued by his successors today. He has always been considered the illuminating beacon and although for some time now no longer present in the company, its indelible memory is still palpable among the departments.
Recent history is the renewal of the historic "FML" series. These machines can be applied for longitudinal "Folding" milling or as "Splitter" for the world of bi-laminated panels.
Success continues for the "MSR" series which finds unexpected applications in the field of plastic and composite materials, decorative, acoustic and architectural panels.
